Everyone would like to know what to do with a wish, yet the answer has always eluded. That is, until now! Lucy has so many wishes. Some are big and some are much smaller, but Lucy is bound and determined to find out what to do with them.
Lucy researches with books from the library and finds out you can make wishes on shooting stars, fallen eyelashes, and birthday candles. But when she tries, none of her wishes come true. At a loss, she pulls her trusty Bible from her bedside table and discovers something wonderful. In this “story & study,” Lucy learns that God promises that he listens and God’s promises always come true. Each wish might not come to be as she hopes, but she learns that God is the only one that knows what’s best for her.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
