EXTRAordinary Lesson 4 Activity
Marigold’s thoughts have gotten louder as she’s spent more time noticing what everyone else has, does, and seems to know about themselves. She begins to realize that just because a thought feels true doesn’t mean it is true. Instead of letting every thought stick, girls will learn that they can stop, check what they’re thinking against God’s Word, and change the thoughts that don’t match what He says.
The Write. Check. Change. Dry-Erase Board gives girls a hands-on way to practice that process. They’ll personalize their boards, then write down a thought, ask “Is that true?”, erase what doesn’t match God’s truth, and replace it with what does. Once they take their boards home, they can use them for notes, doodles, reminders, and Scripture while the permanent words IS THAT TRUE? & What does God say? remain as a reminder to check the thoughts that come and go against the truth that never changes. My prayer is that girls remember: My feelings can get really loud. God’s truth gets the last word.
