Marigold wondered if being funny might finally give her the feeling she was looking for. She found a joke book and practiced until she was ready. She loved the moment when everyone at the lunch table laughed. But before long, the laughter was over and those little thoughts came right back. Marigold began to discover that lots of good things, like being noticed, getting invited, being good at something, or making people laugh, can make us feel good for a while, but they come and go. None of them are strong enough to tell us who we are. God’s truth is.
The Built on Truth Jewelry Dish gives girls a place to remember what stays underneath it all. They’ll make the dish their own with colors, patterns, and designs they love, and write GOD’S TRUTH STAYS right in the center. The dish can hold bracelets, earrings, hair clips, and other favorite things. The things they love today may be different tomorrow and the moments that make them feel special will come and go. But each time they pick something up, they’ll uncover the same reminder underneath: GOD’S TRUTH STAYS.
