Walking In His Ways

The Flip Side Lesson 2 Activity

As George begins to experience the consequences of his choices, he starts to believe his mistakes are bigger than he is. But then his parents remind him of something that changes everything: God already knew he would fall short and He made a way for him anyway. As George opens God’s Word, he discovers that while people make mistakes, God’s character never changes. He is loving, merciful, gracious, holy, wise, and faithful. The more George learns about who God is, the more he realizes he can trust Him to help him make better choices.

This activity gives boys a fun and practical way to remember God’s unchanging character. Using fabric markers, they’ll decorate a pair of socks with God’s attributes, creating something they’ll actually wear long after the study is over. Every time they pull on their socks, they’ll be reminded that wherever they go, they can walk confidently because they know who God is. His character never changes, His mercy never runs out, and He is always with us, guiding our steps one choice at a time.
